25 years of history

The HR Management Symposium was established in 2000 under the auspices of RÉFAEC. For 25 years, this interuniversity competition brought together hundreds of students passionate about human resource management each year, from multiple universities in Eastern Canada. In 2026, this torch is passed to the Management Symposium, which continues this same tradition of excellence and camaraderie.

2026 — UQTR (Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières)

Le flambeau est transmis à l’UQTR (Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières), qui devient la première université hôte du Symposium Management. Une nouvelle compétition RÉFAEC voit le jour, dans la continuité de l’esprit du Symposium GRH : rigueur, excellence et camaraderie interuniversitaire.

2025 — Université de Sherbrooke, Longueuil Campus

The final edition of the Symposium GRH. More than 300 students from 7 universities take part in this ultimate gathering, marking 25 years of competition and academic fellowship.

2013 — JMSB

First bilingual edition of the competition's history, organized by JMSB in Montreal.

2006 University of Sherbrooke

The Estrie region is joining the circuit. The University of Sherbrooke is hosting the competition for the first time.

2005 ESG UQAM

Back to Montreal, this time in the colors of UQAM. The School of Management is organizing its first edition of the HRM Symposium.

2003 — EG3R, University of Quebec at Trois-Rivières

The Mauricie region joins the Symposium GRH family.

2002 — Faculty of Social Sciences, Université Laval

The competition is leaving Montreal for the first time and is setting up in Quebec City.

2000 HEC Montréal

The HR Management Symposium is holding its very first edition at HEC Montréal. A new interuniversity competition in human resource management is launching in Eastern Canada.
